Some less expensive "photo throws" on the market seem like a good deal (but only because your not really getting a full size throw). Because they are machine washable, they are very easy to care for. All Picture Weave products are 100% cotton, and highly durable. The colors won't fade and you do not have to dry clean them like some printed on blankets. We do suggest that you machine wash on gentle or hand wash, and tumble dry on low. When you purchase a blanket, we will call and email you to review these steps. We will recieve your phone number and email address from Paypal.
Step 1 - Pick your Photo You can use any photo you would like - but remember that the better the photo, the better the finished Picture Weave product. After you purchase a blanket, we'll provide you with "tips on choosing a photo to make your blanket extraordinary".
Step 2 - Fill out the Order Form After you purchase a blanket, you can fill out the online form at the Picture Weave web site. If you would like, we will email you a form that you can print out and mail to Pictureweave.
Step 3 - Send Your Photo and Form You have two choices. You can send your photo or cd to Pictureweave by mail or you can upload your digital file directly to the Picture Weave web site.
Step 4 - Receive Your New Heirloom In about 4 weeks, (often less, depending on the time of year) you'll be receiving your new, 100% cotton heirloom tapestry photo throw. If you do not receive your Picture Weave product after 4 weeks, please contact us, and we'll track your shipment.
Frequently Asked Questions about our
“PICTURE WEAVE” throw blankets
Q: What about Digital Photography? A: No problem! You can send your camera files to us directly. We recommend that you use at least a 2 megapixel camera or higher. Save your image as a JPEG or TIFF. If you send as a JPEG, please make sure to use minimal compression. If you over-compress, the image will be blurry and pixilated. It is better to send a larger file as opposed to a smaller file, as it will help yield the best finished piece.
Q: How many people/pets/buildings can I have in my photo? A: You can have as many as you'd like, but remember that the smaller the detail, the less likely it is to show up in a woven piece. A blanket with a couple of large faces will yield higher detail in those faces compared to a photo with 10 people in it.
Q: How long will it take? A: 4-6 weeks. Often, much faster. It depends on the time of year and the number of orders we have.
Q: Are these products printed? .. are they washable? Will the images and colors fade? A: These products are never printed. The images are jacquard woven of 100% cotton, so they will never fade - even after repeated washings. Our products are machine washable in cold water, tumble dry.Q: Can words and borders be added to the image? A: Yes. There are simple ways of doing this. You can go to a just about any major store that does photo processing (like Walmart) and go to the "self serve" photo machine where you can print out your picture with words, borders and more, for just pennies. If you can't find a store like this, just ask us to help you find one.

What will my shipping and packing fees be?
We take our shipping cost right off the UPS or the USPS web page. Just type your zip code into the calculator at the bottom of the listing to figure shipping charge BEFORE bidding. If there is a handling charge for a particular item, it will be mentioned. If there is FREE shipping for a particular item, it will be mentioned.
Can you ship outside of the United States?
We do not ship internationally at this time.
Do you take money orders or checks?
